Storytelling Events

"The children were enthralled by the stories and activities and gained so much from having the opportunity to participate in so many ways." Literacy Co-ordinator, Dymchurch Primary School, Kent.

'What treasures can you find in the StoryEgg?'

The Storyegg is unique, through a small door in the front children draw out brightly coloured bags containing magical objects that appear in the stories.

Jacqueline brings the stories to life with different age groups:

Reception and Nursery: Th
e children join in with actions, rhymes and singing, creat
ing a powerful mix of enjoyment and learning because they are so engaged.

Years 2/3 (African story) -
"Once upon a time there was a young woman who was very small, her name was Cuulu, but most people called her the Tiny One…”" With the aid of simple scenery, props, and music, the children enact the tale.

Years 4 and 5 (Japanese story) -
How will Momotaro conquer the Ogres of the Four Winds? Aided by magical items from the Storyegg, the children create characters and a spontaneous story of their own making.

"The children enjoyed the Storyegg and did some excellent follow-up work, telling the story and drawing beautiful pictures." Reception teacher, Boughton Primary School, Kent
