Storytelling for young children
A session begins with the STORYEGG, into which little hands delve to pull out treasure bags. Inside are characters and items that appear in the story ahead.
"On Monday, Jack went to work at the carpenter's, where he learned to saw just like this (sawing action and sound). Can you saw like this?"
Finger rhymes, actions and songs enable the children to have lots of fun and to be fully engaged with the tale as it unfolds.
Workshops for Years 1 and 2 : children literally enter the story, becoming characters, animals, castles and trees. Simple props, costumes and a backdrop provide a magical story land for the children to play out a story.
Storytelling Skills Workshops
Parents, carers, early-years workers, grandparents, what better way to create
those memorable moments of fun and closeness with children in your care than
to tell them stories?
Or would you like to develop your imagination and creativity as a Storyteller
purely for your own pleasure and self-development?
"Thank you for a wonderful workshop, it was better than
I could have imagined. What skill you used to stimulate our imagination and
to draw those lovely stories from us that were completely ours."
